Every month our dedicated BIG information line can receive up to 400 calls from both new and existing customers. With our team on hand to offer advice and support to applicants before they apply the queries are diverse and cover all of BIG’s funding programmes in Scotland.
Here we answer three of the questions you’ve been asking the most this month.
Is there a closing date for your funding?
Our only fund that has a closing date is Community Spaces Scotland which has an application deadline of 2 December 2011. The second round of the programme will open on 14 June 2012 and will close on 7 December 2012. All of our other Scotland specific programmes have no deadlines and you can apply at any time however we’d encourage you to phone our information line on 0300 123 7110 for advice before you fill in an application form.
We do not meet a priority area for Awards for All (Q19b in the application form). Can we still apply?
Yes. These priorities are not essential to apply for funding. However, applications will normally be stronger if at least one priority can be met.
Can sports groups apply to Investing in Communities?
If they have open membership, it is likely they will be eligible. The main challenge however is meeting our outcomes. Big Lottery Fund’s focus is on communities rather than sport. We recommend applicants to contact us before applying on 0300 123 7110 or email firstname.lastname@example.org
