We are delighted to announce that Maureen McGinn has been appointed as the next Chair of the Big Lottery Fund Scotland Committee.
Currently a member of the Big Lottery Fund Scotland Committee Ms McGinn will take up her new post from December 1, 2011. She said:
“I have greatly enjoyed being a member of the Scotland Committee over the past four years. It is an honour to be asked to lead such a committed team in working with staff, partners and funded organisations to make a difference to communities across Scotland. I also welcome the opportunity to work collaboratively with colleagues from across the UK as a member of Big Lottery Fund’s UK Board.”
Big Lottery Fund Scotland Director Jackie Killeen added, “I look forward to working closely with Maureen McGinn as the Big Lottery Fund in Scotland continues to strive to make a real difference to the lives of people, families and communities most in need.
“Over the next four years the Chair of our Scotland Committee will play a key role in leading BIG’s work, in partnership with other Board and Committee members, the staff team and grant holders, to deliver real benefits to people in Scotland. ”
Ms McGinn‘s appointment follows a full open recruitment process, by the UK Cabinet Office in partnership with the Scottish Government. The current BIG Scotland Committee Chair Alison Magee stands down at the end of November.
