Additional funding to help GCA projects develop

February 8, 2012

Scottish communities with ambitions to own and manage their local assets are to benefit from additional funding that will help them develop their ideas.

With an increased investment of £250,000, local groups from across Scotland can now apply for funding to help them develop their ideas and applications to our Growing Community Assets (GCA) fund, which aims to give communities more control and influence over their own futures.

The additional funding is being made available through our existing Investing in Ideas fund which gives groups a decision on their application within six weeks. Groups can apply for a grant of between £500 and £10,000 to test out their ideas for projects that could eventually become fully fledged GCA projects.

If you have a project idea you should contact our BIG’s enquiries line on 0300 123 7110 for advice on the next steps.
