What do you want us to blog about?

January 9, 2018

Plain wooden squares in background, with the world 'blog' spelled out on four wood squares in centre.Happy New Year everyone, and thanks for continuing to follow our Scotland blog. To kick off 2018, we’d like to know what you want more information on over the coming months.

We think the advice and information we share on these pages hits the mark more often than not, but we know that there are a whole range of topics that you’ll want to hear more from us about.

With that in mind, if you have ever:

• encountered issues when filling out an application form that you’d like guidance on
• seen one of our previous blog posts that you want us to update
• had questions about any other part of the application process
• thought about topics you would like us to cover that we haven’t already blogged about (check out our compilation of our past funding tips blogs as a reference)

Then let us know by commenting below!

And if there’s anything else that’s not listed above, feel free to tell us so we can turn it into a blog post going forward.

During 2018 we will ensure we cover the ideas or topics you tell us about so we are sharing information you’ve told us you want to know about, and not just the bits we think you might need to know.

Thanks in advance for your suggestions and we hope you have a fantastic 2018!

P.S. – if you’d prefer not to share your ideas publically, feel free to email them to pressteam.scotland@biglotteryfund.org.uk, or message us on Facebook and Twitter.

Well done guys on the blogs. I find the tips on applying really helpful and share them with our local community groups. I also like getting the perspective of the local groups. A big topic for us at the moment is community assets – personally feel some of our groups being a bit too ambitious/optimistic on amounts they can access from Lottery on this so any other info, stats would be great.

Hi Anne, thanks very much, we’re glad you find the blogs useful! Can I just clarify – would you like to see more blogs from us on the perspectives of local groups applying for funding? It’s also great that you’d like to hear more about Community Assets, as we’re planning to do a blog on the process of applying for this funding soon – and I’m sure we’ll be able to include some extra info on stats such as average grant sizes there, which might be useful for talking to your groups!
